Schawk was founded in 1953 by Clarence W. Schawk as a one-man platemaking business in the basement of his aunt's suburban Chicago home. Our foundation in the packaging market - which is still the core of Schawk's business today - enables Schawk to easily meet the technical requirements of other media channels.
