Nippon Oil & Fats Co.,Ltd. was established in June 1937 when its forerunner, Associated Oil and Fats, merged with three companies in the Nippon Sangyo Group - Nippon Food Industries, Kokusan Industry Fuji Paint Works, and Velvet Soap.
