Sailcrest Engineers Ltd. was formed in 1968 and quickly established itself as a leader in the manufacture of soft magnetic powder cores. During the course of the next three decades the company has continued to develop new technologies. The acquisition of Salford Electrical Instruments Ltd. (SEI) enabled the company to further develop the already successful Genalex range of iron-alloy cores. By 1990 Sailcrest Engineers Ltd. was recognized as a global supplier of powder metal cores specializing in pure iron and iron-alloy powder cores.
