Kontakt.io was founded in 2013 with the goal of helping the visually impaired navigate public spaces more easily, and experience cultural wonders with the same appreciation as anyone else. We developed something that you would call today a proximity solution-but it was months before Apple released the iBeacon profile using Bluetooth Low Energy. That's how our innovation began. Since then we've adopted technology like iBeacon, Eddystone, and more into our smart hardware system, and we continue to push the borders of what's possible with bluetooth proximity devices.
