Vlier Products, a Hutchinson Company, was founded by Blaine Vlier and William Coop in 1943 in Burbank, California. Vlier initially supported American efforts in World War II, engineering parts for use in the manufacturing of military build-ups of bombers, fighter planes and battleships. In 1949, the company's American ingenuity was used to create what would become its flagship product, the Vlier Pin. Designed to fixture small parts in tight, compact spaces, Vlier Pins have perfected many manufacturing lines and products.
