TIDA-00228, Analog Front End and MCU for a Fault Passage or Current Indicator Reference Design
TIDA-00228, Analog Front End and MCU for a Fault Passage or Current Indicator Reference Design. This flexible, low power consumption solution, enables Fault Passage/Current Indicator (FPI) use in fault detection on either over head power lines or underground power cables. This solution couples an analog front end with a very power efficient MCU, to create a Fault Passage Indicator that works in either self powered configurations (through a Current Transformer [CT]) or battery based option. The analog front end is designed such that the same platform can handle multiple current inputs and threshold levels for fault detection along with upstream/down-stream fault detection
